During the Clone Wars, Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, also known as "Thrawn," of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet had his own shuttle for his missions. In 19 BBY, Thrawn and a pilot named Che'ri were assigned a mission to retrieve something for the Chiss Ascendancy. They encountered Jedi General Anakin Skywalker above the planet of Batuu. Later on, Thrawn got what he went for, shield technology on Mokivj, and helped Skywalker defeat the Separatist-Duke Solha, who was mining for cortosis, a rare metal that resisted lightsabers and would be used against the Jedi. Solha was defeated, and the mine detonated due to Skywalker blowing up the mines, resulting in catastrophic failure. The pilot, and the ship escaped and Thrawn and Skywalker parted ways.
