The Mitth family homestead was the headquarters of the Mitth, one of the Nine Ruling Families of the Chiss Ascendancy. The homestead was located in a massive underground cavern on the planet Csilla. Its dozen buildings were lit by an artificial sun and were surrounded by orchards and artificial lakes and even mountains. The Trials, which allowed a Merit adoptive to become a Trial-born, took place at the homestead. The final Trial of the Mitth family's Trials involved climbing a mountain adorned with memorial staffs.
