Mobile assault walker

The mobile assault walker was supported by two legs, and were piloted by either a single stormtrooper sergeant, stormtrooper officer, or riot control stormtrooper. The design of the mobile assault walker is reminiscent of the AT-RT, but with different armament and requiring the driver/pilot to stand rather than sit.

Three color variations existed, including a forest green camouflage with yellow emblems on the body and feet of the walker, and a desert themed deco which consisted of sandy brown and tan colors, along with a bright-red color in place of the yellow swashes. The third variant consisted of a gun-metal gray exterior without colored embosses. This variant also had two extra forward-facing cannons, giving the walker a total of five laser cannons.

Mobile assault walkers appeared in the marketing campaign for the seventh Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, released as a part of Hasbro's The Force Awakens toy line. While the normal run of the line contained a green walker with a stormtrooper sergeant wearing a black pauldron, an exclusive desert themed variant was available on the online store Entertainment Earth, which came packaged with a stormtrooper officer wearing an orange pauldron.

The green walker was released a second time for the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story toy line, with different packaging and artwork that was re-purposed from the Entertainment Earth release.
