The Moorsh Moraine was first mentioned in the Legends source-book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy and made its first appearance in Entrenched, a Legends comic. The moraine was confirmed to be canon when it was mentioned in the 2014 mobile-game Star Wars: Galactic Defense.
