The Naboo airbase was utilized by the Royal Naboo Security Forces during the Trade Federation's invasion of Naboo in 32 BBY. It was placed near the south ridge of the capital city of Theed and consisted of a security hangar and several buildings. It was attacked during the latter stages of the invasion.
The base was established by the Royal Naboo Security Forces and became part of the resistance movement in 32 BBY. It rested a cliff near the south ridge of Naboo's capital city, Theed. Widow's Valley was nearby, as was Rasker Hill. A bridge led to the base from the lower plains. The base's primary characteristic was a security hangar, with a barracks and two smaller buildings next to it.
During the Invasion of Naboo, the Naboo Security Forces met with the Queen to retake the planet. At the meeting, they formulated a plan to retake the planet. The Security Forces would enter Theed while the Gungan Grand Army engaged the Trade Federation Droid Army. The Federation sent three Army units to destroy the Gungans. Army C passed near this base, and the base came under attack. Palmer, a Naboo officer at the base, called for assistance. Lieutenant Gavyn Sykes received her distress call and moved to engage the droid Armored Assault Tanks. Sykes destroyed the Federation laser cannons blocking the bridge and was able to knock out the two tanks. He then entered the base's hangar on the order of Captain Quarsh Panaka, the highest ranking Naboo officer. Sykes took an experimental bomber, which he used to delay Army C in Widow's Valley, thereby contributing to the final victory. At that time, two N-1 starfighters and a Flash speeder were parked at the base.
The base appears in the 2000 video game Star Wars: Episode I: Battle for Naboo. It is necessary to save the base before taking the bomber and attacking the convoy. If any of the buildings are destroyed, the mission ends in failure.
