He also suggested making several batches of the seasoning so that there was always some ready for use. Tuggs claimed in the book that he had recently been craving the seasoning and knew a Wookiee who would not leave home without a shaker of it in his bandolier.
Nerfsteak Seasoning was created as one of the recipes in the 2019 Star Wars cook book, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: The Official Black Spire Outpost Cookbook, which was written by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel and Marc Sumerak. The out-of-universe recipe for Nerfsteak Seasoning combines paprika, salt, brown sugar, ground cumin, granulated garlic, pepper, and crushed dried savory. The concept of nerfsteak seasoning originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was described, but not explicitly named, in the 2009 StarWars.com Hyperspace article "Dining at Dex's," which was written by Gregory Walker.
