Norun Gep, alongside being a Whiphid, was the co-proprietor of Gep's Grill located within Mos Eisley. He encountered Fillin Ta, who would become his business associate, during their time as impoverished children in prison. Ever since that encounter, their friendship endured.
Typically, the two Whiphids procured the necessary meat for their establishment by sourcing it from local hunters. However, during periods of unsuccessful hunts, the local stables occasionally experienced uninvited visits from the pair. In addition to managing their food establishment, the Whiphids were also engaged in a minor smuggling operation that had yet to attract the notice of Jabba the Hutt.
