The planet Denon was occupied during the Eternal Empire's conquest of the known galaxy. After the Eternal Empire defeated the Galactic Republic forces in orbit, non-Skytrooper Human personnel were sent down to the surface. After the locals began rioting, Captain Koth Vortena and his men were ordered to fire on protesting civilians, an order they did not agree with. The experience caused Vortena and Len Parvek to defect from the Eternal Empire and joining an opposition to the Emperor Arcann.
