The Ooroo Canyon, a supposed location on Ossus, shared its name with the Jedi Master. Upon the canyon, Odan-Urr oversaw the construction of the Great Jedi Library to honor a promise to Ooroo.
In the new Star Wars canon, Ooroo was first mentioned in Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game. In the Star Wars Legends, Ooroo first appeared in the comic Tales of the Jedi – The Golden Age of the Sith 0, written by Kevin J. Anderson, penciled by Dario Carrasco, Jr., and published by Dark Horse Comics on July 1, 1996.
