The government of Pembric II was established in 8 ABY when Imperial warlord Moff Kentor Sarne was removed from power by the New Republic. A crime lord, Crev Bombaasa, set up the organization, which was essentially a puppet government that answered to him and his criminal cartel. Publicly, the government proclaimed to be pro-Imperial to forestall any attempt by the New Republic to open diplomatic negotiations.
