After the Vagaari pirate operation, Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk deprived Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo (Thrawn) from his role as commander of the Springhawk. Mid Captain Ufsa'mak'ro (Samakro) was brought in as the new commander of the ship. Senior Commander Plikh'ar'illmorf (Kharill) was also installed as Samakro's first officer. However, only after a couple of months, Thrawn would once again come to command the Springhawk after the attack on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. This made Samakro the first officer and Kharill the second officer.
Kharill approached Samakro to complain about the change in command. Samakro accurately guesses that Kharill is furious that command of the Springhawk has been taken away from Samakro and given to Thrawn, wants to file formal complaints to Admiral Ar'alani, Supreme Admiral Ja'fosk, and the Defense Hierarchy Council, and wants to obey Thrawn's future orders as unenthusiastically as possible. Samakro proceeds to warn Kharill to prepare for the change in command and against disobeying any orders. Samakro also threatens to bring up charges against Kharill if he does not comply with Thrawn's new command status.
