The Punishing One was a JumpMaster 5000 owned by the bounty hunter Dengar. The ship had no holding cell due to the fact that Dengar usually only took in dead bounties.
At one point, Dengar took the Punishing One to the planet Canto Bight, where he gambled, including playing sabacc against several Weequay pirates. Soon after, in 3 ABY, Dengar and fellow bounty hunter Beilert Valance, who were begrudgingly working together, returned to Canto Bight following a mission on the moon of Nar Shaddaa, reaching the Punishing One. However, they had been tracked by the Crimson Dawn assassin Deathstick.
