QT-9 was a prototype therapy droid given to the former Rebel soldier Dade Hetkins after he was discharged from a New Republic vet hospital in Darropolis on the planet Hosnian Prime. QT-9 was approximately knee-high and had two ocular lenses. The droid had a square-like head and rolled around on a blue-and-gold spherical body.
After Dade objected to being prescribed a "therapy droid", his doctor offered to prescribe him a "therapy Ewok" instead. Upon this counter offer, Dade accepted QT-9's companionship.
