Quan was a male of a unknown species who was a former associate of Tyresius Lokai, having participated in the breaking of the Blockade of the Hydian Way with Lokai and Hylo Visz. Years later, Lokai—in his new identity as Gault Rennow—tracked down a now-retired Quan in his efforts to locate Visz. Rennow bought Quan a drink and questioned the man on Visz's whereabouts, but ended up killing Quan, though he learned that Visz was hidden away on Belsavis.
