Sometime before the Dissolution of the Imperial Senate in 0 BBY, a senator of the Imperial Senate pushed for the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing of the Galactic Empire's Starfighter Corps, to launch a raid on the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The mission ended up disastrous, with the wing losing at least two men. This fate applied to half of TIE pilot Havina Vonreg's family including her younger brother Hedrian. Although not killed by a spread of Alliance torpedoes, Hedrian made it back to his hangar and passed away.
Vonreg held the senator accountable for her siblings' deaths just as much she did the rebels. In 4 ABY, she compared the similarity of the raid with an incident in the Nuvar system regarding casualty causes to Shen, a member of her own starfighter unit, Titan Squadron. Vonreg later mentioned the mission to another member of her squadron.
The raid was first mentioned in the 2020 video game Star Wars: Squadrons, developed by Motive Studios.
