The rapid-pulse energy module was a weapon component used in Merr-Sonn's Model MSD-32 Disruptor Pistol. It was designed to circumvent the inherent power problems in disruptors such as the low ammunition count and slow fire rate. The rapid-pulse energy module generated a series of energy pulses that created a powerful disruptor bolt and in turn extended the weapon's power pack ammunition from five to ten shots and reduced the recharge time between shots from five seconds to three.
