The Rebel outpost was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.
The building was one of the five small Rebel outposts — along with the Dantooine, Dathomir, Endor and Yavin 4 outposts — added to the game for the second act of the "Cries of Alderaan" story arc, released with the "Publish 3" on October 8, 2003. Rebel players were randomly sent to one of the five outposts during the second act to meet with a Rebel Commander who sent the player to a communications outpost to relay a message to Doctor Vacca. During the third act of the story arc, introduced with an update published on January 22, 2004, the players were once again sent to one of these outposts to meet with Princess Leia, who asked the player to defend a Rebel research facility.
