Rim's Edge (beverage)


Rim's Edge was a tangy beverage made from a blend of fresh fruit juices topped off with sweet sparkling water. It was served as the signature drink of the Rim's Edge cantina on the Expansion Region planet Freerock and came in a glass with a ring of sugar around the rim as a nod to the name of both the beverage and establishment.

During a culinary tour of the galaxy that he took between 34 ABY and 35 ABY, the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs drank a Rim's Edge at Rim's Edge, and a sip of the drink snapped him out of reminiscing about his time working at Takodana Castle on the planet Takodana. Considering the beverage powerful and tasty, Tuggs included a recipe for it in his third cookbook, The Ultimate Cookbook, which was published in 35 ABY. In the book, he claimed that the drink would make you feel like you were back home no matter where it was consumed.

The out-of-universe recipe for the drink makes use of decorative blue sugar, a lime wedge, crushed ice, orange juice, pineapple juice, grenadine, lemon lime soda, and a large sprig of mint to garnish.
