Roden Venthrall was a male assassin who lived during the Galactic Civil War. Venthrall had been a student of the master assassin Dolac Legasi. However, by the time of the Battle of Yavin, Legasi had been imprisoned in an Imperial prison on Dathomir and Venthrall worked on his own. In 1 ABY, Roden Venthrall was hired to assassinate Lady Valarian, the leader of the Valarian criminal syndicate on the planet Tatooine. Lady Valarian's lieutenant Ind later discovered the situation and tasked a spacer with killing Venthrall before. The spacer eventually found the assassin near Mos Eisley and attacked him. Roden Venthrall was killed during the ensuring firefight.

Roden Venthrall was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Roden Venthrall was present in the original release of the game, being part of Lady Valarian's Quest Series.
Because Roden Venthrall spawned under the generic "assassin" template, his appearance was randomized under one of thirty-five possible depictions. Species Venthrall could appear as included Aqualish, Bith, Bothans, Humans, Rodians, Trandoshans, Twi'leks, and Zabrak under either gender. The quest dialogue identified Venthrall as male, however the canonical species cannot be definitively determined in the Star Wars Legends continuity.
With the release of the "Publish 23" on August 31, 2005, Lady Valarian's Quest Series was deactivated and Roden Venthrall was consequently removed from the game.
