The Runaway Droid Ride was a well-known escape made by a ship filled with droids. A 3PO-series protocol droid named Squeaky programmed the autopilot of a stolen Kessel vessel, due to his inability to pilot a vehicle. This was intended to whisk the droids to freedom.
Unfortunately for him and the droids, Squeaky had forgotten that the autopilot employed a terrain-following system. The direction the craft started was full of hills, valleys, craters, and cliffs. Even with the less-than-pleasant journey, and to the surprise of a dazed Squeaky, the droids managed to escape the potato-shaped planet.
After, Squeaky became very famous throughout different groups. He ended up serving the New Republic, becoming Wraith Squadron's quartermaster and serving in the DownTime cantina.
