S-Ipsus orbital research facility

During the Clone Wars a research station operated in secret in orbit of S-Ipsus, a sub-city of the floating city Ipsus on the planet Genarius. The station was established in around 21 BBY to facilitate the study of a virus fatal to the Caarite species developed by the Believers Sith cult, in an attempt to better understand the contagion. The crime lord Nirama learned of the research station and unofficially monitored the work conducted at the facility. After a bomb containing a sample of the anti-Caarite virus was recovered by a group of freelance agents from the moon Tilnes, the explosive device was taken to the S-Ipsus research station for further study. There, a tracking beacon contained within the device activated and sent a signal to a concealed Believer laboratory on S-Ipsus informing the cultists that the device had not been detonated.
