The bounty on SE-5 was assigned to a visitor to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu by the Bounty Hunters' Guild. Using a thermal scanner, the visitor then tracked down SE-5 while it was hiding in one of the buildings of the outpost. They then reported the droid's location to the local Guildmaster's Hideout and collected the reward.
SE-5 appeared as part of Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, an augmented reality video game launched at Walt Disney World on July 27, 2022. The image used to represent SE-5 is a reused promotional image of the droid Essie, who appeared in the 2016 Anthology Series film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
