In 13 BBY, the ship was used to transport Orson Callan Krennic and his death troopers to recruit Galen for Project Stardust.
Aboard the Death Star, Krennic had his own docking bay for his shuttle, adjacent to the Overbridge. He used the shuttle to leave the Death Star, to go to Eadu to meet with Galen at the Eadu Energy Conversion Laboratory. After the Rebel Alliance attacked the facility, Krennic evacuated in ST 249.
Later, Krennic received a message to go meet with Darth Vader at Fortress Vader on Mustafar. Krennic travelled there in the shuttle. After his meeting with Vader, the director ordered a course set for Scarif.
Krennic arrived on Scarif in the shuttle. Somehow, Captain Pterro had ended back up aboard the Death Star, as he did not accompany Krennic or the shuttle to Scarif. During the Battle of Scarif, when the Rebels attacked the Imperial Security Complex to steal the real Death Star plans, ST 149 remained parked on the executive landing pad for the entire battle. At the end, when the Death Star destroyed the Citadel Tower under Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin's orders and killed Krennic in the process, ST 149 met an unknown fate.
The shuttle was created for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
