SW-0608 was a Zeta-class Heavy Cargo Shuttle used by Rogue One. It had a modular cargo pod attached below the main holding bay.
Initially assigned to the Eadu Flight Station, it was stolen by Bodhi Rook. K-2S0 assisted Bodhi to pilot SW-0608 during the rescue Jyn Erso, Baze Malbus, Chirrut Îmwe, and Cassian Andor from the Research station and return them to the Rebel base on Yavin 4. Following Jyn's failed attempt to persuade the Rebel Alliance to attack Scarif and retrieve the Death Star plans, it was stolen (again) by Bodhi and K-2S0 to transport Jyn & Cassian's infiltration team to the surface of Scarif.
The shuttle was destroyed by a shoretrooper grenade during the Battle of Scarif.
The significance of the designation SW-0608 was confirmed by Rogue One's screenwriter Chris Weitz when asked the question on Twitter. "SW" are the initials of Weitz's son Sebastian Weitz, whose birthday is the 8th June.
