Savage Squadron was the greater of the two, being composed of ships that had shields or powerful weapons. It was originally termed Salvage Squadron before Rogue Squadron changed the name following how fierce they fought at Dubrillion. By the time the decision to evacuate Dantooine arrived, all but one flight of Savage Squadron had been destroyed.
