Selena was a female member of the Nightsisters during the Clone Wars and the mother of Morgan Elsbeth. She died during the Battle of Dathomir, killed by General Grievous during a duel.
During the Battle of Dathomir, Selena participated in the Nightsisters' defense of their planet against the invading battle droids of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Also among the fighters was Selena's daughter, Morgan Elsbeth. As several Nightsisters retreated from the Separatist Droid Army's overwhelming forces. One blast from a B2-series super battle droid nearly killed Elsbeth, but Selena saved her daughter's life, pushing her out of harm's way. The Nightsisters prepared to make their last stand, but were quickly ambushed by the Separatist General Grievous, who impaled one of them from behind with one of his green lightsabers. As BX-series droid commandos rained fire on the Nightsisters, Selena ordered her daughter to stay back. She attacked Grievous using two sickles enchanted with magick. However, despite her powers, she was unable to defeat Grievous, with the cyborg gaining the upper hand, damaging her sickles with his lightsabers. They engaged in a blade-lock, only for Selena to be stabbed in the torso when Grievous activated a third blade from his left arm. In her final moments, Selena ordered her daughter to run. Grievous laughed, then struck Selena down with his three lightsabers.
