Sheriff

Sheriff was a law enforcement title used by police officers. With the disbanding of the Imperial Senate, many local governing institutions were dissolved as well, leaving sheriffs from the Anoat sector out of work. Cobb Vanth held the position on the planet Tatooine shortly after the Battle of Endor. By circa 9 ABY, Vanth was instead using the title of marshal.
