Shind was a female who worked as a spaceport Controller on Socorro who was best friends with Fenig Nabon. When Gecees gang attempted to intercept Fenig after he was knocked unconscious by Ghitsa Dogder. Shind helped Fenig give clearance for takeoff whilst stalling Gecees ship, and flagging it for a customs inspection.
