The Shinn muggers were a criminal group active on Tatooine during the Galactic Civil War. In 1 ABY, Shinn and his band of muggers was responsible for stealing ID cards from people in Mos Eisley. Mayor Mikdanyell Guh'rantt's combat expert Peawp R'dawc tasked a spacer to eliminate several muggers, including their leader Vaigon Shinn in his hideout. A short time later, Sleash, a thug who used to do business with Vaigon Shinn, went into hiding in Vaigon Shinn's Hideout after the crime boss Faeto placed a death mark on his partner Untas.
The Shinn muggers appeared in the 2003 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. The Shinn muggers were added to the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.
