Sljee was a terrestrial planet located in the Sljee system. It was a part of the Expansion Region's Ehosiq sector, being located both in the Outer Expansion Zone sub-region and the Northern Dependencies portion of that region. The planet was situated on a hyperlane between the Kiros and Nessem systems.
A Sljee waiter who worked on the Outer Rim Territories planet Bonadan by 1 BBY hailed from Sljee. Sljee fell within the borders of the New Republic between 12 ABY and 13 ABY.
Sljee was the homeworld of the species of the same name.
Sljee was the homeworld of the sentient species of the same name, members of which communicated in the Sljee language. Species on Sljee primarily relied on the sense of smell, with scent being of utmost importance in both hunting prey and evading predators. The olfactory apparatus of the Sljee was fine-tuned to identify a very specific range of scents, including those of other Sljee and food sources from their homeworld. Consequently, those Sljee who traveled offworld were frequently bewildered and overwhelmed by the unfamiliar smells that could be encountered in the wider galaxy. The Sljee were a communal species, and as such, when away from Sljee, they commonly lived in groups.
Sljee was introduced in the 1984 reference book A Guide to the Star Wars Universe by Raymond L. Velasco. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Sljee system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square M-8.
