Special Operations Group Five, more commonly known as Operations Group Five, was one of five Special Operations Groups sent by the reconstituted Sith Empire into the Belsavis prison during the Galactic War in hopes of locating and freeing the Dread Masters. Group Five was led by the Sith Lord Medechas, and remained behind at the Empire's initial landing point while the others continued deeper into the Belsavis prison; Medechas' forces established the Imperial Lodgement as a main base and battled the Galactic Republic security forces under Marshal Ellis Ruger.
