Starwhales (also spelled star-whales) were oceanic creatures that could be found on Uthura. Zev Senesca, a pilot with the Alliance to Restore the Republic, used to hunt starwhales with a harpoon. When New Republic Special Forces Sergeant major Jom Barell realized he could not destroy the Imperial yacht Golden Harp during the Rebellion on Akiva he considered the starship as safe as a star-whale in an empty ocean.
