Tabac was a substance. Two varieties were carababba tabac and havao tabacc. At least some forms of tabac could be smoked recreationally in cigarras or in tabac pipes, producing smoke with a distinctive odor.
Like t'bac, tabac is a stand-in for real-world tobacco. However, tobacco itself has also appeared in the Star Wars universe.
