Tactical and Operational was a police threat assessment tactical force of the Coruscant Security Force. It would respond in the aftermath of a dangerous incident on the planet of Coruscant to provide information to the CSF Anti-Terrorism Unit at the Galactic City Strategic Center. In 40 ABY, in the aftermath of the bombing of The Elite hotel, Tactical and Operational assessed the resulting damage, including the kind of explosives that were used and how many deaths and injuries had been sustained.
Tactical and Operational was introduced in Legacy of the Force: Bloodlines, a 2007 novel authored by Karen Traviss as the second novel of the Star Wars: Legacy of the Force series.
