When the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Sidious revealed the secrets of Exegol and the Sith Eternal to his Sith apprentice Darth Vader, a cadre of the Sith Eternal guards attacked Vader. If Vader were to have fallen in combat, these guards could have been replacements as the Emperor's apprentice.
