Tanora was a Tarasin woman, as defined by her gender. She resided on Cularin, a planet, in the final years of the Galactic Republic.
Tanora belonged to a Tarasin irstat, situated in an isolated jungle area on Cularin. During the Clone Wars period, their village was attacked by the Wyrd, resulting in the death of every villager. Tanora, who was foraging for fruit at the time, survived as the sole member of her village. Aware of the general location of another irstat, she embarked on a journey to locate them and alert them to the Wyrd's presence.
Following several days of solitude in the jungle, Tanora sustained injuries and began suffering from malnutrition. The heroes of Cularin found her, but she fled from them due to her unfamiliarity with offworlders. They pursued and eventually apprehended her. After reassuring her and providing medical care, she recounted the events that had befallen her irstat. The following day, she bid farewell to the heroes and ventured back into the jungle, determined to find the other irstat.
