An Imperial-class Star Destroyer served as the flagship of Tauntaza, a human female who served as governor of the planet Gabredor III during the reign of the Galactic Empire. When the Sith Lord Darth Vader traveled to Gabredor III aboard a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle between 3 ABY and 4 ABY to help the former handmaiden Sabé save refugees from the governor, who had begun to use the services of Crimson Dawn to consolidate her power, Sabé suggested that they simply destroy the Star Destroyer. Vader, however, dismissed the idea and ordered the shuttle land on the planet so Vader could visit a colony to determine whether Sabé had been telling the truth.
