Tempest Scout 2

The All Terrain Scout Transport designated by the callsign Tempest Scout 2 was active as part of the Galactic Empire's occupation of Endor as part of the Tempest Force legion, a highly skilled formation of soldiers who guarded the Death Star's shield generator as a garrison. Tempest Scout 2 was commanded by Major Newland, while Lieutenant Blanaid served as its copilot and gunner. During the Battle of Endor, the walker was hijacked by Chewbacca and two Ewoks, Widdle Warrick and Wunka, who threw Blanaid overboard and beat Newland unconscious. The three then used the vehicle to destroy several other AT-STs, turning the tide of the battle in favor of the Rebel ground forces. The walker later rendezvoused with the Endor strike team after most of the Imperial forces were wiped out. The survivors of the strike team were initially concerned at the AT-ST's arrival as they were unaware of its hijacking by Chewbacca and the Ewoks, until Chewbacca revealed himself to them.

Later, Han Solo, while posing as Newland, used the captured walker to trick the commander of the Death Star's shield generator, Major Hewex into opening the bunker's doors, claiming that the Rebels had fled and the Imperials needed help pursuing them. This was also a ruse to surround the Imperial forces. Hewex fell for the ruse and ordered three squads to help, allowing the Rebels to gain access to the control room once the bunker doors opened and the squads ran outside. As soon as the three squads of troopers exited the bunker, they were forced to promptly surrender after being surrounded by rebels and Ewoks.
