Starting with this issue, the series' title was changed from Star Wars Weekly as the adaptation of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back began. The numbering continued from the previous title, though this issue released on Thursday, unlike the prior and subsequent issues.
This issue reprints the first of three parts of the story printed in the US as Star Wars (1977) 39, and also included a behind the scenes article about the making of the movie.
