Most shipwrecked spacers chose to live near the Scatter. Those castaways not belonging to any tribe, often insane and dangerous, lived closest to the junkyard.
Those tribes that lived around the Scatter included (in clockwise order) the Alkasaners Tribe, Anno Tribe, Clicksticks Tribe, Demon Stickers Tribe, Blue Bantha Tribe, Whyrens Tribe, To Endure Tribe, Greelcane Tribe, and the Brightrods Tribe.
