Theta Squadron (Galactic Empire)

Theta Squadron, unlike a standard TIE/ln squadron, consisted of twenty-four ships. After the Battle of Hoth, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Avenger pursued the Millennium Falcon into an asteroid field and Captain Lorth Needa deployed a patrol that consisted of members of Theta Squadron.

A flight of six TIEs, led by Amara Kel due to her seniority, patrolled outside of the asteroid field until "Clipper" picked up something on the scanner and traveled into the field with four other pilots, going against orders from Needa. Pilot "Dawn" crashed her fighter and ejected, leading to Kel ordering Clipper and "Flameskull" to save her with a utility line. Eventually, the squadron returned to base with all of their members intact and avoided discipline from Needa, who had been killed by Darth Vader while they were out on patrol.
