The Throne of the Sith, also called the Dark Throne, was the Sith throne of Exegol, located within the Sith Citadel's Sith loyalist chamber. Darth Sidious, the Galactic Emperor and reigning Dark Lord of the Sith, prepared the throne as his permanent seat of power for an eternal Sith Empire. The throne was destroyed by Rey along with Darth Sidious during the Battle of Exegol.
The Throne of the Sith first appeared in the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, the third installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The Dark Throne bears similarity to the Emperor's Throne Room thumbnail sketches shown in Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie. Made in 1981 by Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, they were intended for use in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.
