The Thyrsian military was the military of the Thyrsians, members of the Echani species native to the planet Thyrsus. Its units bore the the emblem of the red suns of Thyrsus. The Sun Guard began as a special-missions force in the Thyrsian military hierarchy known as the Thyrsian special forces.
