Tocneppil

Tocneppil was a smuggler at the height of the New Order, a political ideology declared with the Galactic Empire's formation in 19 BBY. Corellian smuggler Han Solo worked with Tocneppil, with the pair once getting lost and not being able to find their ship. Solo's partner Chewbacca constantly reminded the former about that incident, as Solo claimed that Corellians never got lost.

In 0 BBY, Solo and Chewbacca infiltrated the Empire's Death Star battlestation to rescue one of its prisoners, Princess Leia Organa. When the pair were attempting to find their ship, the Millennium Falcon, Solo justified his claim that Corellians never got lost to Chewbacca by mentioning he was drunk during the incident with Tocneppil, and that Tocneppil was not a Corellian. Tocneppil was also known to Lando Calrissian, who became the Baron Administrator of Cloud City on the planet Bespin in 1 ABY. More than a month after becoming Baron Administrator, Calrissian sometimes missed traveling the galaxy with Tocneppil.

Tocneppil first appeared in the 1976 novelization of the original trilogy film Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, ghostwritten by Alan Dean Foster. According to Foster, Tocneppil's name is a tuckerization of Charlie Lippincott, who was at the time the publicity supervisor for Lucasfilm.
