Tom Stewart Baker (born January 20, 1934) is an English actor. He is best known as the Fourth Doctor in the science fiction series Doctor Who from 1974 to 1981. He provides the voice for Bendu in the third season of Star Wars Rebels. He is the third actor in the role of the Doctor to appear in a Star Wars production, following David Tennant as Huyang in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Peter Cushing as Wilhuff Tarkin in .
Due to studio secrecy, no one except executive producer Dave Filoni told Baker anything about the character he was voicing. When voicing Bendu, who was described as a "life force", Baker drew on his own religious upbringing ("believing in angels, devils, divine forces and other worlds") and embraced in his imagination all the thoughts he had from his past.
