Tooka was a Jedi who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic during the Jedi Civil War. In 3956 BBY, two colonists, Calder Nettic and Rickard Lusoff, engaged in a drunken altercation in a cantina at the spaceport of Garang, the capital city of the Outer Rim planet Dantooine. According to the Garang authorities, after Lusoff accused Nettic of cheating him out of credits in a business deal, Tooka was dispatched to the cantina and resolved the conflict. The incident was recorded in the Garang archives as well as those of the Jedi Enclave. Later, Nettic was murdered by Handon Guld, another colonist, in Dantooine's Ancient Grove. Jedi Knight Bolook and former Sith Lord Revan, who lost his memory and retrained as a Jedi, thus investigated the murder.
At the scene, Revan asked an information droid about Nettic's relationships, and the droid accessed the data regarding the cantina scuffle, including Tooka's involvement.
Tooka was mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by BioWare. The mention occurs in dialogue during the optional side quest "Murdered Settler," which does not change the player's alignment. The quest will always trigger in a cutscene if the player passes by a small bridge within the Ancient Grove on Dantooine. The quest can be refused or dropped, and the dialogue can be navigated to avoid the mention of Tooka. The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia confirms that both men were arrested, and therefore the quest completed.
