They also received mention in the reference books, The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons written by Daniel Wallace in 1998 and the third edition of A Guide to the Star Wars Universe written in 2000 by Bill Slavicsek. No source has made clear if the Tumnor were sentient or if any survived the destruction of their homeworld.
