A member of the Galactic Empire, it was the site of some peaceful demonstrations during the early days of the Rebel Alliance. The regional Moff in charge of the sector sent ships to disperse the crowds, but the demonstrators were stubborn and refused to leave the site. The commander of the imperial force thereby ordered his ships to hover above the crowd and ignite their engines, incinerating the peaceful demonstrators in a fiery blast. The family of Tedris Bjalin was among the dead. This incident followed the massacre on Mantooine two weeks earlier.
