After the symbol of the Jedi Order was discovered on a piece of debris from the bomb site, Darth Vader was contacted, and although the major thought of Vader's presence as a courtesy, Vader quickly pulled rank on the major and ordered him to send his men to all areas near the Jedi Temple to search for evidence and signs of a Jedi.
