The Council of Moffs tasked an Imperial lieutenant with procuring a blood sample from Mirta Gev, a Mandalorian of note. This Human female served the Imperial Remnant during the tumultuous period of the Second Galactic Civil War. Acting on the instructions of her Moff commanders, she gained access to the Galactic Alliance Guard flagship, the Anakin Solo. With the express consent of Sith Lords Darth Caedus and Tahiri Veila, she acquired a DNA sample from Gev, a prisoner, for integration into the Moffs' genetic repository. The lieutenant received orders to utilize the prisoner's blood to engineer a nanovirus as retribution for Mandalorian actions against the Remnant. This specially designed strain aimed to specifically target and eliminate Boba Fett, Gev's grandfather, and all others connected to him through blood relations.
In the year 41 ABY, amidst the final stages of the Second Galactic Civil War, a Human female lieutenant within the Imperial Remnant received a mission from the Moff Council. Her task was to secure a blood sample from Mirta Gev, a Mandalorian soldier captured by the Sith Lord Darth Caedus during the Battle of Roche. Escorted to the prisoner's location by a GAG trooper, she encountered Gev, heavily restrained and wounded, in the midst of an interrogation conducted by Caedus and his apprentice, Tahiri Veila. Initially, the Dark Lord of the Sith displayed irritation at the lieutenant's arrival. However, the lieutenant cautiously explained that the Moffs had instructed her to obtain a blood sample from Gev. Caedus instructed her to wait until the interrogation concluded. As she turned to comply, Veila inquired whether the lieutenant's purpose was linked to the Moffs' nanokiller project. After gaining permission from Caedus, the lieutenant confirmed Veila's suspicions, revealing the Moffs' intention to add Gev's DNA to their genetic database. This action served as retaliation against Mandalorian aggression towards the Imperial Remnant, with the goal of creating a strain designed to eliminate anyone related by blood to the Fett family. Given Gev's status as the granddaughter of Boba Fett, the lieutenant asserted that the nanovirus would be easily manufactured due to the close familial connection between Gev and Fett. She expressed full confidence that the nanovirus would be ready for deployment on the planet Mandalore within three days, or even as little as one day with unrestricted access to Gev.
Darth Caedus' initial annoyance transformed into approval, and he praised the Moffs' innovative concept. The revelation of the lieutenant's objective also aided in the Dark Lord's interrogation, as Gev became horrified and fearful for her grandfather's safety. She reluctantly agreed to cooperate with Caedus' questioning but ultimately failed to convince him of her sincerity. Consequently, Caedus believed she was only being partially truthful and ordered the lieutenant to heal Gev's injuries. However, perceiving the remainder of her answers as lies, Caedus permitted the lieutenant to proceed with her orders, allowing her to extract a sample of Gev's blood.
Shortly thereafter, the lieutenant successfully developed the nanovirus. Subsequently, the Imperial Remnant unleashed this new weapon upon Mandalore. The deployment of the Fett-targeting strain prevented Boba Fett and his granddaughter from ever returning to the Mandalorian homeworld.
The Imperial lieutenant presented as a slender woman, identifiable by her white-colored medic uniform adorned with a Remnant insignia on the collar, marking her as a military officer within the Imperial Remnant. She demonstrated unwavering loyalty to the Council of Moffs, readily executing their orders, particularly those pertaining to the Moffs' nanokiller project. Her analytical prowess was evident in her confidence in rapidly creating the nanovirus.
Furthermore, the lieutenant exhibited politeness and good manners towards individuals of higher rank. Given the Remnant's alliance with the Galactic Alliance, she displayed courtesy towards Darth Caedus, the Alliance's Chief of State, and his apprentice Tahiri Veila. As Caedus also held the title of Dark Lord of the Sith, commanding a reputation of awe and fear among his subordinates, the lieutenant took extra care to be respectful and compliant with his wishes. Consequently, she harbored a considerable fear of the Dark Lord and sought to avoid offending him in any manner. She even hesitated to answer Veila's question regarding the nanovirus, only doing so after receiving Caedus' explicit permission. The Dark Lord's calm demeanor somewhat alleviated the lieutenant's nervousness, yet she maintained a strictly formal and gracious tone when addressing him. Moreover, she consistently referred to him as "Lord Caedus" whenever speaking to him, driven by both respect and fear.
